Travel Nurse RN - Long Term Acute Care - $2,093 per week

Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week

Employment Type: Travel Requirements Active RN License Degree from an accredited nursing program BLS & ACLS Certifications At least eighteen months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, drips, EG tubes and the ability to read telemetry strips Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility Duties and Responsibilities As part of the LTAC unit, Long Term Acute Care nurses are responsible for caring for patients who require extended medical care. Provide care for 5‐6 patients. Adapt and perform in a fast‐paced environment. Manage frequent admissions and discharges. Monitor and administer medications orally, subcutaneously, and via IV. Educate patients and families on surgical processes and how to manage illnesses or injuries. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and record and interpret electronic displays. Interpret telemetry readings and notify the appropriate medical team of any irregularities. Perform the duties required of a registered nurse at all times. Care for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and atrial‐fibrillation. Use computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information. Start IV lines, draw blood, and see patients from start to finish.
