Entry-level position in the Forge Department. This job classification can promote to Forge Machine Operator, Metal Parts Finisher, Production Saw Operator, or other machine operator position.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Count parts Clean work area Grind metal parts Load/unload sand blaster Operate furnace (load/unload)Other duties as assigned
Experience and Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Technical Skills:
Experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to lift 40 pounds throughout the shift. Ability to read production instructions in English.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand up to three hours at a time and during an 8-10 hours shift. Must be able to sit, bend, twist, stoop, reach overhead. Uses hands to grind metal parts.
