THE WORKDevelop and refine assembly processes, incorporating Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiencyand reduce cost. Write concise, complete process instructions andproduction documentation, ensuring alignment withengineering drawings and models. Collaborate with production, design engineering, procurement, program management, andmanufacturing personnel to address productionchallenges and recommend solutions. Investigate production problems, evaluate materials, and propose modifications to processes or tooling toenhance quality and meet manufacturing conditions. Design and assist in the development of tooling, including concepts for welding, brazing, painting, and finishing operations where applicable. Operate and program automated equipment, andutilize cranes, lifts, and hoists to support assembly of large structures, wiring, cabling, coax, fiber optics, and soldering to IPC J Std. Lead training initiatives, independently instructingand mentoring personnel on new processes andexperimental work to drive cost reductions and quality improvements. Apply Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) andstandard Microsoft Office tools to support processdevelopment and data analysis.

Basic Qualifications: Personal computer skills including standard Microsoft Office programs and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for process development. Ability to write concise, complete processinstructions. Ability to work and communicate with production, design engineering, procurement, programmanagement, and manufacturing personnel (Cross Functional Team).Experience with engineering drawings and models. Experience with large mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies. Experience with fiber-optic assembly/manufacturing. Experience with large scale material handling equipment and overhead cranes/ lifts for assembly methods.

Able to work independently to instruct and trainpersonnel. May initiate and/or supervise experimental or developmental work to reduce costs, improvequality, or meet manufacturing conditions. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles to plan, coordinate, and implement process improvementprojects. Familiarity with tool design concepts.
