Utility-Scale Solar Project Manager

The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Utility-Scale Solar Project Manager to join our team at our Arlington, VA headquarters. This is a fully onsite position with no remote or hybrid option. Candidates currently located in Virginia, Washington, DC, Maryland, or the Mid-Atlantic region are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates outside the area must be willing to relocate to Arlington, VA. You will manage utility-scale solar projects from permitting and construction through commissioning, closeout, and handover to Operations & Maintenance (O&M).

Key Responsibilities: Manage project schedule, budget, contracts, procurement, and construction activities. Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, inspectors, and internal teams. Develop and maintain project schedules and critical paths. Manage RFIs, change orders, cost tracking, and project documentation. Review drawings and specifications and help resolve technical and field issues. Maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, local agencies, and public officials. Lead project commissioning, closeout, warranties, and handover to O&M. Support and lead project team members as needed.

What We’re Looking For: 4+ years of project management experience, preferably in utility-scale solar, renewable energy, or large-scale construction. Experience in Virginia, the Mid-Atlantic, or East Coast is preferred. General contractor experience will also be considered. Strong understanding of solar construction, drawings, specifications, and project execution. Experience managing budgets, schedules, contractors, and subcontractors. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar. Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Location & Travel Arlington, VA — Fully onsite. Remote or hybrid work is not available. Travel throughout Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region may be required, up to 25% of the time.
