MRI Technologist 2 PRN Premium (CHC Campus)

MRI Tech 2The MRI Tech 2 arranges patients for Magnetic resonance examinations. Produces MRI images to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. MRI technologist monitors and ensures safety of patient and all personnel prior to entering magnetic area. Performs patient screening by using established protocols for any ferrous materials and medical device history and for safe administration of contrast media. Utilizes departmental policy to perform safe operation of equipment and all functions of the job. Provides complete pre and post education to patients and family. Works under minimal supervision and may perform additional job duties.

Documentation/Communication Complete Exam Data Entry fields on all exams Documents all pertinent information, i.e., patient history, tech initials, Other duties as assigned Is available to work a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24 hour coverage of the MRI Department Assist in other areas of the department as workload permits Keeps areas well stocked at all times Consistently performs 12 organizational Service Standards focused on Values, Service, and Quality.
