Propulsion & Mechanical Systems EngineerVisium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Propulsion & Mechanical Systems Engineer position. This position is a contract OR POTENTIAL direct hire opportunity, and will be on-site in Vero Beach, FL.Position Summary:Support the Lead Engineer and the overall product development Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the propulsion systems discipline. This position will entail Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling, drawing creation and maintenance, propulsion systems analysis, test planning and reporting, and general shop-floor and experimental hangar coordination for propulsion installation and functionality. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, small-team environment where individual problem-solving, hands-on execution, and full project ownership are critical to success. Unlike larger organizations with narrowly segmented responsibilities, this role requires engineers to take a comprehensive, 'big picture' approach to their work. Candidates will be expected to engage across all phases of the design process, actively collaborating with team members and stakeholders to drive projects through to successful completion.Essential Job Functions:Produce installation layouts, component designs, solid models, drawings, engineering orders (EOs) and specifications to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification and Company standardsPrepare engineering data for FAA certification such as specifications, test plans, substantiation reports, and design configuration documentsReview data and support the process of selecting vendors for the purchase of components that meet specifications and design intentReview and validate installations and components through simulation, analysis, and test data interpretationSupport production and/or experimental hangar personnel in the troubleshooting of assembly and operational problemsUnderstand program requirements and create designs to fulfill the program requirementsSupport the IPT in the preparation of material for presentation at design and program reviewsBe knowledgeable and able to represent the PPMS discipline in various program reviews and flight test briefingsPerform other related duties as required
