Job Description We are a well-established custom injection molding company seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician/Supervisor to lead our 1st shift molding department. This is a hands-on leadership position. You'll spend your time on the production floor supporting the team, solving molding problems, improving processes, and ensuring quality parts are produced safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do:
- Supervise and lead first shift molding personnel
- Troubleshoot injection molding processes and quality issues
- Perform mold start-ups, process development, and process optimization
- Coordinate mold changes and verify successful start-ups
- Reduce scrap, downtime and cycle times
- Establish and maintain documented process parameters
- Train and mentor operators, technicians, and material handlers
- Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, and Scheduling
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on injection molding process experience
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience establishing and optimizing molding processes
- Knowledge of engineering resins and commodity materials
- Experience with mold setup, start-ups, and process validation
- Ability to read part drawings and understand quality requirements
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
