Supporting dynamic power system studies, the full-time Design Engineer for Dynamic Studies will develop and test renewable energy models, perform dynamic system studies, and collaborate with clients, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
Develop PSSE, PSLF, TSAT, and PSCAD models of renewable plants and conduct model quality tests
Support interconnection applications by preparing preliminary designs and application forms
Stay current with regulatory changes and conduct studies to ensure NERC compliance for renewable projects
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of working experience, with at least 1 year directly related to power systems
Experience with steady-state and dynamic analysis using PSS E and PSCAD
Prior experience with transmission system operators or owners is preferred
Familiarity with programming in Python is preferred
