Pediatric Registered Nurse – New Graduate

BJC HealthCare seeks a New Graduate Nurse to join St. Louis Children’s Hospital in delivering compassionate, evidence-based pediatric care. In this role, you will perform focused assessments, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support procedures under the guidance of experienced preceptors. You’ll educate and support families, document in the EHR, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Provide direct bedside nursing care to pediatric patients under RN scope of practice Perform assessments, monitor vital signs, and document accurately in the EHR Administer medications and treatments safely following hospital protocols Support physicians and senior nurses during procedures and emergencies Educate and support patients’ families on care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions Participate in the nurse residency program, training, and competency development Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic patient care Maintain infection control, safety, and quality standards in all care activities Pediatric patient assessment Medication administration Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation Vital signs monitoring Care planning and prioritization IV therapy and infusion management Patient and family education Infection prevention and control Interdisciplinary team collaboration Basic life support (BLS) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in Missouri or compact state BLS certification PALS certification (or obtained shortly after hire)
