Company Overview: Our client is a mid-size specialty contractor based in Tampa, FL, specializing in site construction and road building/infrastructure work. Now second-generation family led, the company has seen strong, steady revenue growth over the past several years and continues to project significant growth in the years ahead. The business also operates a subsidiary entity. This is a thriving, fast-paced environment with a strong, hardworking culture. This search is being conducted to identify a strategic CFO who can support the company's continued growth and help elevate the finance function.

The Role: Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will oversee the finance, accounting, IT, and HR functions of the business. This is a true number-two leadership position, with the finance function currently sitting as its own tier directly under the CEO. The CFO will lead a team of 5+.Key Responsibilities and Priorities Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, not solely a back-office finance lead Oversee financial reporting, closing processes, and the annual audit Evaluate and lead an ERP transition Bring an innovation-minded approach to finance, including openness to leveraging AI and technology to modernize processes Support the company's continued growth trajectory, including possible future M&A activity Manage and develop the existing finance team
