Congregate Meals Cook

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Prepares daily meals in adherence to the approved menu. Ensures food is hygienically stored and food storage areas are kept clean. Maintains correct stock levels, ensures stock rotation, and ensures all stock is clearly labeled as required. Always maintains a high standard of hygiene and safety through daily cleaning of areas and equipment. Maintains the kitchen and kitchen equipment. Ensures all utensils are washed properly. Adheres to all Food and Nutrition Guidelines at local, state, and federal health guidelines during the preparation, cooking, and serving of all food. Ensure waste materials are properly placed in designated waste (trash) areas. Maintains a positive working relationship with fellow staff and participants. All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Experience cooking. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work well with individuals of all cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.

SCHEDULE: Full-time (35hrs/wk.).Monday-Friday, 6am-1:30pm.
