A law firm seeks a Patent Agent with a background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering to join their Intellectual Property Team in Dallas, TX. Duties:
Draft and prosecute patents, and conduct IP due diligence.
Respond to office actions and manage client portfolios.
Prepare, obtain, and analyze patent searches.
Provide assessments on patentability, prior art, non-infringement, and validity.
Engage in client counseling and licensing activities.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in a relevant field.
Registered to practice before the USPTO.
Proven experience in an IP law firm.
Superb writing and research skills.
Strong academic record.
Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Certifications:
USPTO registration.
Skills Experience with software development preferred.
