Computer Systems Design ServicesOther Computer Related ServicesComputer Facilities Management ServicesSenior Systems & Security Administrator | $150,000 to $185,000 | New York, NY | HybridOur client is a leading professional services organization seeking a Senior Systems & Security Administrator to take ownership of a broad infrastructure and security environment. This is a hands-on role for an experienced systems or infrastructure professional with strong Microsoft, networking and security experience. The successful candidate will act as a senior technical escalation point while helping strengthen the organization's infrastructure, security controls and operational processes.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:
- Administering Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune and Defender
- Managing identity, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO and endpoint security
- Supporting enterprise networking, including firewalls, VLANs, wireless and VPNsResponding to security incidents and supporting vulnerability and patch management
- Managing backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes
- Supporting security audits and compliance initiatives
- Developing automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure and security issues
- Maintaining technical documentation, configuration standards and operational procedures
- Working with technology leadership and vendors to improve security, resilience and operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For:
- Our client is looking for a candidate with:7+ years of systems, infrastructure or related technology experience
- Strong hands-on Microsoft experience across Entra ID, M365 and Intune
- Practical networking and firewall experienceExperience with endpoint security, vulnerability management and incident response
- PowerShell and/or Microsoft Graph automation experienceExperience working within a formal security or compliance environment such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 or NISTStrong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills
- A hands-on, proactive approach and willingness to work across both infrastructure and security
