Key Responsibilities: Track and support renewal of facility licenses across federal, state, city, and county agencies — managing timelines and flagging risks before they become problems. Assist with maintaining compliance with Joint Commission, DCF, AHCA, CARF, and applicable regulations, under the guidance of senior staff. Monitor regulatory updates and translate them into actionable communication for internal teams — distinguishing between what's required and what's simply recommended. Support drafting, editing, and maintaining policies and procedures; recognize when language needs to reflect a firm standard versus operational flexibility. Contribute to Performance Improvement projects, including data collection, tracking, and reporting. Assist with audit preparation, internal audits, and corrective action documentation — knowing what requires immediate escalation and what can be resolved at the team level. Maintain compliance databases and generate routine reports with accuracy and consistency. Support the annual Disaster Plan and assist with required drills. Collaborate with clinical and operational teams, building trust by being a resource — not just a checkpoint.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.1–3 years of compliance-related experience in healthcare or behavioral health, preferably in substance use disorder and/or mental health treatment. Basic familiarity with regulatory bodies such as Joint Commission, AHCA, DCF, or CARF — training provided. Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and compliance or EHR software; experience with KIPU is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines without losing the thread.
