Location: Rochester, NY, On-Site

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pmCompensation: $30.00-$37.00 per hour, based on experienceQVI is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe set-up operator to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components according to specifications with tight tolerances. This is considered a senior level position but will train the right person with the right skills, aptitude, and commitment. Why Join QVI? Requirements: Minimum 5-10+ years of experience operating CNC lathes in a precision machining environment Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&TStrong understanding of G-code and CNC programming fundamentals (experience with e.g., Fanuc]Ability to use precision measuring instruments accuratelyAttention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workAbility to work independently and as part of a team Must be reliable Physical and/or Environmental Requirements: Ability to independently lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs., occasional lifting to 70 lbs. Ability for frequent, firm, and steady hand grip with tools requiring torque to tighten machine parts, tooling, and fixtures. Ability to stand, walk, and/sit for extended periods of time. Ability and willingness to wear any required Personal Protective Equipment, which may include Safety glasses, ear plugs, safety shoes, head protection, etc.
