PET-CT Technologist

HCA Healthcare is seeking a skilled PET CT Technologist to perform high-quality PET/CT imaging in our patient-centered Healthcare & Medical Services department. You will prepare and position patients, administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast safely, optimize image quality, and collaborate closely with radiologists and the care team. In this role, you’ll uphold strict radiation safety and regulatory standards while documenting exams accurately. Perform high-quality PET CT exams according to physician orders and department protocols Ensure radiation safety and proper handling of radiopharmaceuticals Prepare, position, and monitor patients, providing compassionate, patient-centered care Review images for diagnostic quality and collaborate with radiologists and physicians Document procedures accurately in EMR and maintain detailed records Maintain and troubleshoot PET CT equipment, performing routine quality control Educate patients and families on procedures and post-exam instructions Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to support optimal patient outcomes Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities PET/CT imaging operation Radiopharmaceutical preparation and handling Radiation safety and protection Patient positioning and immobilization IV insertion and contrast administration Image acquisition and reconstruction PACS and RIS operation Exam protocols and quality control Clinical documentation in EMR Basic life support (BLS) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ARRT(N) or ARRT(CT) or NMTCB certification (as applicable) State radiologic technologist/nuclear medicine license (where required) BLS certification Advanced PET/CT training or certification preferred
