Senior Tax & Assurance Manager (CPA)

WHAT YOU WILL DO: • Review individual and business tax returns and prepare complex returns when needed.• Lead assigned compilation and review engagements, including GAAP-based financial-statement review and firm quality-management procedures.• Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients, answer accounting and tax questions, and deliver responsive, accurate work.• Support monthly bookkeeping clients with interim reporting and coordinate with leadership on technical and delivery questions. REQUIRED• Active CPA license and North Carolina licensure or eligibility for NC reciprocity/mobility.• 7+ years of relevant public-accounting experience, including tax-return review and compilation or review engagements.• Strong GAAP knowledge, professional judgment, client communication, and ability to work regularly from the Jacksonville office, especially during tax season. PREFERRED, NOT REQUIRED• Construction or nonprofit client experience.• Familiarity with payroll-tax compliance, including Form 941.• Experience with Canopy, CCH Pro System fx or Ultra Tax, Case Ware, or Quick Books Online.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: $125,000 starting base salary, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based compensation.
