This is a critical position responsible for the architectural definition and detailed PCBA design of high-performance Radar sensor, including RF front-end, processing, power and high-speed signaling. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of electronic design principles and a proven track record of bringing complex, high-speed designs from concept through production and beyond. Beyond initial development, you will serve as a technical anchor for the company, leading the debugging of field issues and navigating supply chain-driven hardware changes post product launch. You will be a key contributor to a multidisciplinary team, collaborating across software, mechanical, thermal, reliability, and systems domains to deliver and maintain robust, high-performance autonomy solutions.
Responsibilities:
  • Own the design and development of electrical system design for next generation Radar sensing systems & high performance compute systems
  • Drive PCBA architecture, BOM selection, and design for manufacturing
  • Perform detailed RF analysis of the PCBA, including simulations using tools such as HFSS, to inform a robust system design and isolation between RF and digital domains
  • Drive schematic capture and provide rigorous PCB layout guidance to ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Drive the validation plan for your product by defining test requirements, taking key measurements, and collaborating with validation engineers
  • Characterize RF performance through bench & chamber testing, field analysis to ensure performance
  • Coordinate with mechanical engineers for module packaging, manufacturing, and thermal performance
  • Drive production cycle in partnership with external vendors and CMsLead troubleshooting processes and train junior engineers and/or technicians on how to implement them
Qualifications:
  • Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering (or related fields) with 10+ years experience
  • Detailed understanding of RF design requirements
  • Strong EE fundamentals including power, high speed, computer architecture, analog, and mixed signal design
  • Experience in design and validation of high speed signaling
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and design layout tools (Altium Designer and OrCAD)
Signal integrity Analysis experience using tools such as Ansys HFSS or Keysight ADS.Solid understanding of signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) principles, with experience specifying PCB stack-up requirements. Experience with automotive industry standards and processes (e.g., ISO 26262, AEC-Q100).Ability to write or modify scripts (Python, Bash) to automate data generation and hardware testing on high-speed interfaces. Experience performing impact analysis and validation for component substitutions in a high-volume production environment. Deep understanding of product development and managing technical risk Excellent communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment for hardware bring-up, characterization, and methodical root cause analysis. Pay Disclosure: The salary range for this role is $186,000 - $232,000 annually for Bay Area based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
