Job Description: Responsible, under appropriate direction, for executing purchase and sales of tax-exempt fixed income securities as authorized by portfolio managers, senior traders, and or Head of Trading; primary focus being municipal bonds.
Responsibilities: -Execute orders flowing from the SMA business with specific emphasis on short and intermediate term maturities in both the Primary & Secondary markets.
  • Assist Portfolio Managers in the daily surveillance of SMA & Institutional Fixed Income Accounts, appropriately communicating key relative value to account guidelines and parameters.
  • Execute cash trades for SMA, Mutual Funds & Institutional accounts.
  • Interact as a seamless interface between the trading team and various internal & external firm constituencies.
Qualifications: Prefer 1 -2 years trading experience in Municipal bonds but not a necessity.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills.
  • Rigorous attention to detail and good time management skills.
  • Comfortable working on a trading desk in a high paced environment.

Base Pay Salary The estimated base salary for this role is $115,000- $135,000 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
