Principal Engineer, Enclosures Design

Responsibilities: Lead development and integration of next generation enclosures structural and closures systems including sheet metal, latches, hinges and sealing Package and integrate mechanical and electrical components ensuring proper kinematics and clearance Manage BOM structures and design changes Create and modify 3D solid models in SolidWorks Lead investigations into system quality issues, lifetime or reliability problems as discovered, mitigate future issues with root cause understanding Architect sealing & weatherproofing strategies for long-life deployments Lead enclosure benchmarking for current and future products Lead and manage the performance and regulatory testing Interpret/develop Tolerance Analysis, CAE, DFM, DFMEA, PFMEA simulations/results and integrate feedback into product designs Conduct root-cause failure analysis and implement corrective design improvements Manage and collaborate with key suppliers (both internal and external) to support overall enclosure development milestones and prototype/ production build events

Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with evidence of exceptional ability
