Reservation Specialist - Client Relations & Reservations (Pet Resort)

Job Description: This will not only help us ensure you're a great fit for the role but also help ensure that you will be performing a job that truly makes you happy! Pet Care Plus is looking for a warm, organized Reservation Specialist who loves building relationships with pet parents. Our West Loop facility offers dog daycare, boarding, grooming and bathing, and enrichment services. In this role, you'll be the friendly voice and face of our front desk, helping clients feel confident that their pets are in great hands. This is a client-relations role. You'll split your time between the phones, the front desk, and the reservation system, and you'll work closely with the rest of the team to keep things running smoothly.

What you will do: Build lasting relationships with clients by being knowledgeable, attentive, and easy to work with. Make outbound check-in calls to past clients to see how they and their pets are doing, learn what they need, and invite them back. Make confirmation calls for upcoming reservations. Verify details, answer questions, and recommend services and add-ons that fit each pet's needs. Answer phone and email inquiries, explain our services clearly, and book reservations. Check clients and pets in and out with a welcoming, five-star experience, and assist with facility tours. Handle clerical desk work: maintain accurate client and pet records (including feeding and medication instructions), enter reservations, and keep information current in our reservation software. Work as part of a team, communicating with kennel, grooming, and management staff so every pet's needs are met. Help with occasional pet care support and community events as requested.

What you bring: Experience in customer service, hospitality, reservations, front-desk, or a similar client-facing role (1 year preferred).A friendly, professional phone presence. You're comfortable making outbound calls and having natural conversations. Strong attention to detail and the ability to enter accurate information while speaking with clients. Good follow-through and organization in a fast-paced environment. A team-first attitude and a genuine interest in pets and their people. Comfort learning reservation software and basic office tools. Flexibility to work the shifts a pet care business requires, including weekends and holidays. Experience in pet care is welcome but not required. We'll train the right person.
