Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Registered Nurse)

Highlands-Cashiers Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead daily clinical operations in our rural, patient-centered hospital. You will coordinate nursing workflows, support staff with complex patient care, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Coordinate and oversee daily clinical operations for assigned unit to ensure safe, high-quality patient care Support nurses with patient assessments, care planning, and implementation of evidence-based practices Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and throughput Monitor staffing needs, assign patient loads, and assist with scheduling to maintain appropriate coverage Coach, mentor, and precept nursing staff, supporting ongoing clinical development and competency Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection prevention protocols Participate in quality improvement, data review, and implementation of process improvements Serve as a clinical resource and escalation point for complex or emergent patient situations Clinical nursing practice Patient assessment and triage Care planning and coordination Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation Clinical leadership and staff coordination Quality and patient safety improvement Regulatory and Joint Commission compliance Infection prevention and control Interdisciplinary team collaboration Patient and family education Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current RN license in NC or compact state Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent, as applicable Specialty certification in medical-surgical or critical care nursing preferred (e.g., CMSRN, CCRN)
