New Graduate RN Residency

UCHealth is hiring new graduate RNs for our Metro Denver Nurse Residency, a comprehensive program supporting your transition into professional practice. As a resident, you’ll work full-time on acute care units, combining classroom education, simulation, and precepted clinical shifts. You’ll build skills in assessment, medication administration, EHR documentation, and team-based care while delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing. Participate in a structured nurse residency curriculum combining classroom, simulation, and precepted clinical shifts. Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care under the guidance of preceptors and clinical educators. Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and document accurately in the EHR. Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families on care plans and discharge needs. Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality standards to support excellent patient outcomes. Engage in feedback, reflection, and competency evaluations to advance clinical judgment. Rotate through assigned units in the Metro Denver area as scheduled. Participate in unit-based projects, huddles, and continuing education sessions.
