Job Summary:
We are seeking Material Review Board (MRB) Engineers to evaluate non-conforming aircraft hardware and develop appropriate repair, rework, use-as-is, or scrap dispositions while supporting airworthiness, quality, and regulatory requirements. The MRB Engineer will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Production teams to resolve technical issues, support production schedules, and ensure effective disposition of non-conforming materials and components.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and disposition non-conforming aircraft structures, systems, and components. Develop and support repair, rework, use-as-is, deviation, and concession solutions. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and production documentation. Conduct technical assessments and risk evaluations. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Production, and other cross-functional teams. Provide production support and resolve technical issues in manufacturing and assembly environments. Ensure compliance with applicable FAA, EASA, AS9100, airworthiness, and certification requirements. Support MRB audits and customer requirements. Provide technical recommendations and documentation for non-conformance resolution. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing quality and production processes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, MRB, MRE, Liaison Engineering, manufacturing engineering, or production support. Strong knowledge of aircraft structures, systems, manufacturing processes, and engineering drawings. Experience with non-conformance disposition, repairs, concessions, deviations, or related engineering processes. Strong engineering judgment, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and production teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with commercial aircraft programs, including 737, 747, 767, 777/777X, or 787. Experience with metallic and composite aircraft structures. Experience with CATIA V5, Teamcenter, ENOVIA, and/or SAP. Experience with MRB or delegated engineering approval processes. Experience supporting aircraft assembly lines or manufacturing shop-floor operations. Experience working with aircraft production, quality, and certification requirements.
