This is a maternity coverage opportunity beginning in January and continuing through February, with the potential to continue providing behavioral support beyond the coverage period for those who are interested. This position is a great opportunity for an LBS who enjoys working with elementary-aged students and collaborating closely with teachers, related service providers, and school teams to support positive student outcomes.
Schedule:
Approximately 8:15 AM–3:30 PM Setting: Three Elementary School Buildings Location: Abington, PA Area
Responsibilities:
- Provide behavioral support and intervention services to elementary-aged students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and school staff to address student needs
- Collect and analyze behavioral data to monitor student progress and guide interventions
- Provide consultation and recommendations related to behavior, classroom strategies, and student support
- Support the development and implementation of positive behavioral interventions and strategies
- Assist educational teams in identifying barriers to learning and developing appropriate supports
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate on student programming as appropriate
- Communicate effectively with school teams and families when appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with professional, school, and regulatory requirements
- Support safe, inclusive, and positive learning environments
- Travel between the three elementary school buildings as needed
Qualifications:
- Current Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) credential in Pennsylvania
- Experience working with children with autism and/or developmental disabilities preferred
- School-based experience is a plus
- Strong behavioral assessment, intervention, and data-collection skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Required state and federal clearances
