Job Description
Job Title: 2nd shift Truss Assembler
Job Summary: A Truss Assembler is responsible for constructing roof and floor trusses using pre-cut lumber and metal connector plates. This role involves working with blueprints, operating machinery, and ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble wood trusses according to design specifications and blueprints
  • Measure, cut, and position lumber accurately
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment (e.g., saws, nail guns, presses)
  • Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all workplace safety guidelines and procedures
  • Work as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or construction drawings
  • Experience with hand and power tools preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials (50-75 lbs), stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Basic math and measuring skills
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or manufacturing
  • Familiarity with truss assembly equipment and processes
  • Forklift certification (a plus)
Work Environment:
  • Warehouse or manufacturing plant setting
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Schedule & Compensation:
  • Full-time2nd shift - Overtime availability$19.50 to $20 per hour, depending on experience
