We are theonlydedicated transmission shop serving a two-county radius (Bonner and Kootenai counties), which means we have zero local competition and a constant backlog of work. The current owner is 67 and actively stepping back. We aren't just looking for an employee; we are looking for a true Lead Transmission Rebuilder and Foremanto run the floor, make excellent money, and potentially take over the legacy of the shop. I am looking for someone who doesn't need babysitting—I am looking for "me."

The Role: We are strictly looking for a highly experienced Transmission Rebuilder. We arenotlooking for a general dealership master tech, and we are not looking for a lube tech. You must be able to tear down, diagnose, and rebuild automatic and manual transmissions at an elite level.

Key Responsibilities: Expertly diagnose, remove, rebuild, and reinstall (R&R) transmissions, transaxles, and transfer cases. Lead the shop floor, put out fires, and ensure quality control on all builds. Operate completely independently without the need for micro-management. Mentor and oversee junior R&R technicians.

Experience: 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience as a Transmission Rebuilder.

Certifications: ATRA Certification is highly preferred. Expertise: Deep understanding of modern and classic transmission diagnostics and rebuild techniques. Character: A highly accountable leader who wants to run a shop, not just punch a clock. Relocation: Must be willing to relocate to or reliably commute to the Sandpoint/Ponderay, ID area.
