Regulatory and Labeling Intern

Internship Opportunity This is a 12-week program where interns will apply the knowledge and skills they've gained in the classroom by working alongside professionals at SunOpta. This internship offers hands-on exposure to food labeling regulations, claims review, and compliance processes. The intern will contribute to projects that enhance departmental efficiency and accuracy, while developing foundational regulatory knowledge and cross-functional collaboration skills. Essential Functions of the Job: Complete key projects assessing the regulatory framework of pending legislation and impacts to products manufactured by SunOpta. Assist with daily regulatory operations, including claims review, label checks, and document drafting. Research regulatory trends and requirements for new claims. Support R&D and cross-functional partners by providing regulatory insights into formulation, claims substantiation, and labeling.
