Quality Technician

Location: Knoxville TN Hours: M-F 7AM-4PM Pay: $20. - $22 DOEA Quality Technician I is responsible for but not limited to the following: Works directly on the production floor to ensure quality in processes and products outcome Accurately and efficiently builds and assembles standard hydraulic power units Performs incoming inspections on components as well as First Article Inspections on new cylinders from overseas suppliers Understands and follows quality assurance systems, processes, and procedures Inspects the quality of manufactured products to ensure customers' needs are met Interfaces with production, procurement, and customer service teams Works collaboratively with many types of people within the company, domestically as well as internationally Follows safety and security policies and procedures Reports on any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions to the appropriate individuals Conducts floor audits, calibrations, and incoming inspections Reads and interprets written information including engineering documents Follows all safety practices and guidelines while working including keeping work area clean and free of safety hazards Selects and uses appropriate equipment, supplies and tools

Position Requirements: High School diploma/GEDAt least one-year work-related experience Preferred Work experience with hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic power units, and hydraulic systems Essential Job Functions: Works autonomously and collaboratively in a fast past environment while maintaining a professional and upbeat attitude Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills Stands for prolonged periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation Tolerates odors, fumes and airborne particles from machines and chemicals with or without reasonable accommodations Tolerates various levels of heat with or without reasonable accommodations Tolerates moderate to loud noise levels with or without reasonable accommodations Lifts up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations Walks throughout a large facility with or without reasonable accommodations Works overtime and weekends based on business needs Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $22.00 All compensation and pay rates are dependent upon skills and experience.
