(EDSI) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Roadway Project Manager to support the planning, analysis, and design of transportation projects. This position will focus primarily on roadway design projects for the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), and Local Public Agencies (LPAs).The successful candidate will have 8-15 years of experience and a strong interest in technically detailed design work. This role requires regular interaction with clients, consultants, contractors, utilities, and public agencies, as well as the ability to resolve design challenges that may involve field investigations. Strong communication and technical writing skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary design team. Tasks include leading individual projects and/or as a project discipline lead on larger projects which will include the management of scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables. Other duties include mentoring younger staff and business development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following transportation planning and design tasks: Roadway design and rehabilitationADA‐compliant facility designBicycle and pedestrian trail designTraffic signal designGeometric layout developmentDrainage and hydraulics designQuantity calculations and cost estimatingCoordination with utilities and public agenciesSupporting design issue resolution during project development and constructionPOSITION DETAILS:Location: Chicago, IL

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Licensing:
Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experienceMid-level – Senior-level candidates with equivalent experience are encouraged to applyExperience completing State DOT projects, particularly MoDOT and/or IDOT is preferredEducation: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an accredited institution (minimum) Software Proficiency (Minimum):MicroStation, GeoPAK and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
