Position Overview:
GPT Renewables is seeking Level III Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technicians to support a portfolio of utility-scale solar facilities throughout South Georgia. Technicians will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs on ground-mounted solar facilities ranging from 1 MW to 12 MW, with occasional commercial rooftop projects. Successful candidates will travel throughout their assigned territory performing preventative maintenance, responding to service calls, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring maximum system performance while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position is ideal for candidates with electrical experience, solar installation experience, or previous O&M experience looking to grow their careers in renewable energy.
Schedule: M-F, Some Saturdays. 40-60 hrs per week (Standard schedule 5'8's)
Pay Rate:
$25.00-$45.00- Compensation based on experience Per Diem: $50/day plus hotel accommodations provided for eligible overnight travel assignments Start: ASAP Length: Long-term
Project Availability Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance on ground mount and commercial rooftop solar systems. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues affecting system performance. Inspect modules, inverters, combiner boxes, disconnects, transformers, trackers, and associated equipment. Diagnose equipment failures and complete corrective maintenance. Perform electrical testing using multimeters, insulation resistance testers, clamp meters, and other diagnostic equipment. Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and inspection reports. Follow all OSHA, NFPA, and company safety procedures. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment. Communicate effectively with project managers, dispatch, and customers. Travel to multiple project locations throughout the assigned territory. Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with company safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous solar O&M or electrical experience Strong electrical troubleshooting skills NABCEP certification preferred Level III Technician Senior technician responsible for advanced diagnostics, technical leadership, and complex maintenance activities. Perform advanced electrical troubleshooting. Lead larger preventative and corrective maintenance projects. Troubleshoot SCADA communications and monitoring systems. Perform transformer inspections and maintenance. Conduct thermal imaging and thermal scan inspections. Provide technical support across an assigned portfolio of solar facilities. Assist with commissioning, performance testing, and complex repairs. 5+ years of utility-scale solar O&M experience

Have Qualifications:
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Technical, electrical, solar, industrial maintenance, or related construction experience (entry-level candidates may have education or transferable experience in lieu of O&M experience). Level II & III: Minimum of three (3) years of utility-scale or commercial solar operations, maintenance, electrical construction, or related renewable energy experience. Ability to use smartphones, tablets, or computers to complete work orders and documentation. Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel Monday-Friday. Fluent in English (verbal and written communication) OSHA 10 Certification preferred Valid driver's license Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to work outdoors in active construction environments and varying weather conditions Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Ability to pass a background/MVR check Why Join?
