Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Create parts in ERP system
  • Create requisitions in ERP system
  • Review SDRLs (Supplier Data Requirements List) to ensure proper documentation is procured for all equipment
  • Maintain procurement for all projects to include BOM (Bill of Material), Kanban, Min/Max, and BufferWork with Designers/Engineers to provide weekly BOMs to the CAD Integration department for all projects
  • Coordinate change support with Engineers/Designers to include BOM and Engineering Product estimates
  • Maintain Technical Specifications in coordination with Project Engineer
  • Maintain department processes and corresponding documentation
  • Assist Project Engineers with metrics development and tracking
  • Coordinate and execute product formatting and submittal to Document Control
Complies with Austal's employee handbook general guidelines, company procedures and policies. Act as a Compliance Champion for the organization and work to promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization. Support business unit Tier 1 Compliance Lead in responsibilities as required.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products required.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of PDF Writer preferred.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of AUTOCAD preferred.
  • Experience operating within an ERP system preferred.
  • Experience with Ship
  • Constructor preferred.
  • Experience with BizFlow preferred.
  • Additional Guidelines:
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance may be required if deemed necessary in the scope of your position responsibilities.18 years of age or older at time of application
  • Able to provide proof of US Person StatusNo felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date
  • No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date
  • Willing to submit to a drug screen
  • Willing to submit to a background check
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to humid conditions, bright flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, outside weather conditions, and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles at or below the PEL, toxic or caustic chemicals, and heat and cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud, + 90 dB.Safety: Must comply with company, federal, state, and local safety and environmental rules and regulations while performing daily job tasks.
