Mechanical Laboratory Technician

Job Description Job Description Key Responsibilities Assist testing personnel with complex and involved testing activities, including test sample preparation, instrumentation, and test setup. Build wall and floor sections used for firestop testing. Prepare test samples and test assemblies using diamond coring, cutting, and other construction methods. Install penetrations and firestop systems in test assemblies. Assist with laboratory and mechanical testing activities as required. Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and basic technical documentation. Maintain assigned work areas, tools, equipment, and testing materials in good working condition. Complete assigned projects and testing activities accurately and within established timelines. Follow all applicable safety procedures when working with construction tools, equipment, and testing materials. Support continuous improvement efforts related to testing processes and assigned responsibilities. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
