Schedule: Night shifts, 7:00 PM 7:00 AMCoverage: MondaySundayMinimum of 3 consecutive shifts required Approximately 16 shifts per month Providers must have one day off after working 6 consecutive days No call responsibilities Practice Setting High-acuity ICU environment Adult patient population Collaborative team including attending physicians, fellows, residents, and APPsFull and temporary privileges available Clinical Responsibilities Manage approximately 1015 patients per day Develop and implement treatment plans for critically ill patients Perform bedside procedures, including: Central line placement Arterial line placement Manage post-operative cardiovascular surgery patients Provide care for neurocritical care patients, including: Subdural hemorrhages External ventricular drains (EVDs) Participate in the management of: Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs)VA ECMOHeart transplant patients Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care Coverage Model & Support Three APPs provide coverage across Neuro, Cardiac, and Medical ICU step-down units Pulmonary patients are managed in a step-down setting with support from an on-site Pulmonary FellowTrauma and NICU residents are available on-site Attending physicians provide consultation and support as needed Preferred Experience Prior Critical Care APP experience required Comfortable managing high-acuity ICU patients Experience with: Neurocritical care Cardiovascular critical careVADsECMOTransplant patients Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary teamEMREpicRequirementsBoard Certified or Board Eligible Active Illinois license required at time of presentationIMLC not acceptedDEA requiredCSR requiredACLS requiredBLS required Minimum 1 year of experience CredentialingEstimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 60 days Temporary privileges available"
