This is a senior, hands-on project leadership role responsible for the safe and efficient execution of complex drydock repair and maintenance projects supporting U.S. Government vessels, including MSC and MARAD programs. The Project Manager will have direct responsibility for project execution, scheduling, manpower planning, subcontractor coordination, quality, safety, customer communication, and overall project performance.𝗞𝗘𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦• Review project specifications and develop comprehensive execution plans covering manpower, subcontractors, schedules, and material requirements• Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules and Gantt charts• Coordinate in-house labor and subcontractor work scopes prior to and throughout project execution• Anticipate project risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect schedule and performance• Identify and manage potential growth work and contract change orders• Coordinate vessel docking and undocking activities with the Dockmaster• Lead daily production meetings with supervisors, management, and customer representatives• Review daily work plans and ensure execution remains aligned with project schedules• Monitor project performance and escalate schedule or production risks as necessary• Coordinate QA inspections, checkpoints, and final signoffs• Work closely with supervisory personnel to verify work delegation, material requirements, manpower, and schedule alignment• Participate in contract change-order negotiations• Coordinate across Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Estimating, Production, and other shipyard functions to keep projects moving efficiently𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦• Proven experience managing large-scale shipyard and drydock vessel repair projects• Experience with U.S. Government vessel repair strongly preferred• Strong understanding of complex ship repair work scopes, production planning, subcontractor management, and drydock operations• Proficiency in Microsoft Project is required• Strong leadership, planning, organizational, and communication skills• Ability to operate effectively in a high-intensity shipyard environment with demanding schedules and deadlines• Ability to work on-site in Northern New Jersey• Weekend availability as project requirements dictate𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 & 𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗙𝗜𝗧𝗦Compensation is competitive and dependent on experience and qualifications, with flexibility for candidates who bring significant shipyard, drydock, and government vessel repair experience.
