Supporting the administration of underwriting structures, the full-time Technical Surety Underwriting Manager will underwrite and monitor accounts, develop marketing plans, and perform risk analysis in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities: Analyze, evaluate, accept, decline, rate, quote, and bind new or renewal submissions with high premium or risk exposure Build strong relationships between agents, reinsurers, and contacts Review complex submissions, account losses, pricing models, and profitable premiums
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in insurance, finance, risk management, business, or a related field Minimum of 7+ years of related experience Thorough understanding of internal processes of the product and loss rating/credibility Demonstrated initiative and work ethic in the underwriting process Ability to build and maintain a profitable book of business
