Core shifts include approximately 6:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (opener) and 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. (closer).Current Hiring Need Two Teacher openings; current classroom priority is infant/toddler care. Position Summary:
The Teacher leads the day-to-day classroom experience by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment, implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, and supporting each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. The current hiring focus is infant and toddler classrooms serving children approximately 6 weeks through 3 years of age; classroom assignments may shift based on program needs. The Teacher also provides direction to classroom support staff, communicates effectively with families, maintains accurate records, and ensures consistent compliance with health, safety, and center standards.
Key Responsibilities:
·Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, routines, and individual and group learning experiences aligned to children's developmental needs.·Maintain the safety, supervision, hygiene, cleanliness, and security of children and the classroom environment at all times.·Use calm, developmentally appropriate, instructional approaches to behavior guidance and classroom discipline.·Observe children, document progress and needs, maintain required classroom records, and communicate meaningful updates to families and leadership.·Lead by example and provide clear direction, support, and feedback to Teacher Assistants, aides, and classroom volunteers.·Build positive, professional relationships with children, families, coworkers, and leadership; contribute to a collaborative team environment.·Follow all center policies, required procedures, and applicable state licensing standards, and complete required training and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications:
·Associate degree or higher in early childhood education or a related field.·Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.·Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate early learning practices.·Strong oral and written communication, organization, interpersonal, and basic computer skills.·Ability to remain calm, productive, and child-focused during high-stress or fast-moving situations. Preferred Background·Two or more years of professional child care experience, preferably in a licensed center-based setting.·Experience working with infants and toddlers; experience across multiple early childhood age groups is a plus.·Demonstrated employment stability and a record of dependable attendance and follow-through. Physical Requirements:
This position requires regular movement throughout the classroom and center, including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working at children's level. The employee must be able to use hands and fingers to handle classroom materials and equipment, communicate effectively with children and adults, hear voices at varying levels, and visually monitor children and the classroom environment.
