Process Control Engineer

Responsibilities: Support, maintain, and improve plant PLC/SCADA and automation systems. Program, modify, and troubleshoot Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley PLC systems using RSLogix/Studio 5000.Work with ladder logic, function block, and structured text programming. Develop and modify HMI/SCADA graphics using Ignition and/or GE iFix. Troubleshoot controls and process equipment including instrumentation, actuated valves, motors, remote I/O, communications equipment, network switches, SCADA servers, and operator workstations. Support Ethernet-based industrial networks and communications infrastructure. Partner with process engineering and operations to develop and improve control schemes and strategies. Review and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, control narratives, instrumentation wiring diagrams, and other engineering documentation. Participate in controls-related capital projects, equipment installations, commissioning, startups, and plant expansions. Depending on experience, provide technical oversight for controls aspects of new construction and capital projects. Support PI data historian tag configuration, graphical displays, and reporting. Identify production bottlenecks, reliability issues, and opportunities for process improvement. Support optimization and tuning of closed-loop control systems. Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, contractors, and engineering partners as needed. Follow established engineering, project management, safety, and document control standards.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.3+ years of process controls, controls engineering, automation, or related industrial experience. Hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley PLC platforms. Experience programming, modifying, or troubleshooting PLC logic. Experience working with SCADA/HMI systems. Experience troubleshooting controls, instrumentation, or automated process equipment. Previous experience within a manufacturing, chemical, mining, petroleum, power generation, metals, or other industrial/process environment.
