Job Overview:
A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Attorney with a strong background in the medical device sector to join their team in Miami, FL. The candidate will have the opportunity to work remotely to some extent.
Duties:
Draft and prosecute medical device patent applications in the U.S. and internationally.
Conduct freedom-to-operate and patentability analyses.
Perform due diligence and handle patent procurement services.
Manage patent portfolios effectively.
Requirements:
Minimum of five years of experience in intellectual property law.
Experience with medical device technologies, including surgical and robotics-assisted devices.
Strong analytical and writing skills.
License in good standing in the resident state.
Registration before the USPTO.
Education Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
Certifications:
USPTO registration required.
