Pharmacy Aide (NY HELPS), Rochester Psychiatric Center, P28020

Pharmacy Aide Rochester Psychiatric Center is recruiting for a Pharmacy Aide to assist their licensed pharmacists in preparing pharmaceutical orders. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply. As a pharmacy aide, your duties will include: Unpacking, sorting, and counting pharmaceutical supplies for storage/distribution Maintaining pharmacy records Generating reports Performing light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment Candidates from outside or within State service may be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they have: High school diploma or equivalent; and either 1 year of experience assisting with the filling of medical prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist; or Current pharmacy technician certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board; or Certificate or diploma from a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. ORCandidates from outside or within State service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the current Pharmacy Aide eligible list. ORCandidates from within State service may be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
