Business Unit Manager - Manufacturing

Location: Long Island, New York

Salary: Up to $180,000 + 25% Bonus Relocation Assistance Available

Travel: 30–50%We are exclusively supporting a leading aerospace manufacturer in the search for a Business Unit Manager to lead its $150M+ Engines & Rotary Wing business unit. This is much broader than a traditional sales or business development position. You will operate as the “mini President” of the business unit, taking ownership of overall business performance, commercial strategy and future growth.

Key Responsibilities: • Full P&L ownership and accountability for business performance• Develop and execute the business unit growth strategy• Drive new business generation across next-generation engine and helicopter platforms• Build relationships with aerospace OEMs, integrators and key customers• Lead Program Managers, Customer Account Managers and Business Development• Oversee pricing, proposals, contracts and commercial negotiations• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production Planning and Quality• Identify opportunities to improve growth, profitability and overall business value What We’re Looking For• Strong leadership experience with the ability to lead through others• Commercially minded with strong business judgment• Ownership mentality and willingness to take accountability for results• Proven ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities• Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills• Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving environment with ambiguity• Bachelor’s degree Highly Desirable Aerospace & Defense experience, P&L ownership, Program Management, Business Development, engineering/technical experience, aerospace OEM exposure and pricing or commercial negotiation experience. There is no single career path required. The hiring team is particularly interested in leadership potential, commercial ability, ownership and how someone operates.
