Senior Financial Analyst The primary purpose of this position is organizing, interpreting, and reporting the Administration & Finance Division within the Department of Human Services financial data in concert with the Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer. This position requires application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements. The ability to communicate financial information to a variety of audiences is required. This position will also perform additional duties that may not be present within this PD, as assigned by the appointing authority or supervisor. This position will support a division or divisions within the Department of Human Services by completing finance and budgetary functions, including financial reconciliations, financial reporting, budget development and budget management. Summary of duties: We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Senior Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter dedicated to wanting to make meaningful change to financial management and analysis. In this role, you will assist in providing critical financial oversight for a massive portfolio encompassing 107+ FTE and $255M+ in funding. Because much of this financial management involves shared funding across multiple divisions within the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) and partner agencies, exceptional cross-functional collaboration is essential.
