The ideal candidate for this mission-driven role will be highly strategic, financially sophisticated, and adept at fostering a culture of leadership, accountability, and execution. They must have exceptional financial acumen, a proven track record in driving financial accountability, and the ability to facilitate a strategic shift towards operational excellence and sustainable financial performance. Key responsibilities for the COO include translating organizational strategy into operational plans, directly supporting the executive team, and establishing department goals that align with the organization's priorities. The role also involves financial and operational stewardship, process improvement, and leading data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will be expected to lead organizational process improvement initiatives, drive technology adoption, and ensure that the company's mission and values are at the forefront of all activities. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive nonprofit leadership experience. The COO must be committed to the organization's mission, possess excellent leadership and communication skills, and be willing to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
