Our client in Indiana is actively seeking a skilled OB/GYN Physician for a 10-day assignment. This role involves 24-hour call coverage during specified blocks, primarily focusing on C-section coverage. The Physician will be responsible for accepting unassigned patients and providing consultations with local providers for C-sections or higher-level care transfers. Practice InfoEMR: Epic
Setting: Call Only
Staffing Mix: Family Internal Medicine providers with OB privileges deliver approximately 110 babies per year Rural setting, supported by CRNA coverage and two surgical team members Shift & Schedule Call Schedule: Out of House Call, 24-hour shiftsLOA: 10 Days
Responsibilities:
  • Provide C-section coverage for the facility
  • Accept unassigned patients requiring obstetric/gynecological care
  • Consult with local providers regarding C-section needs
  • Evaluate patients for potential transfer to higher levels of care when necessary
  • Manage 24-hour call coverage, typically commencing at 1900 Complete all required online educational modules prior to the assignment start
  • Participate in a computer educator (CI) meeting for EMR training before starting
  • Attend unit orientation with the nurse manager
  • Review key policies and procedures provided electronically in advance

QualificationsRequired Board Certifications: Obstetrics and Gynecology
