Director of Sales - Curated Events DMV

Our sales team works closely with the region's top venues, caterers, planners, designers, corporations, and universities to bring their visions to life. As we enter our next chapter of growth, we're looking for an experienced, driven Director of Sales to lead our Event Consultant team and help shape the future of our business in the DMV.

What You'll Do: Shape the strategy. Partner with the SVP of Sales, VP of Sales – East Coast, and local General Manager to build and carry out a strategic sales plan for the DMV market. Drive growth. Find and pursue opportunities in emerging markets, forging new partnerships and business relationships for Curated Events. Build your team. Recruit, hire, lead, and develop a talented team of Event Sales Consultants. Coach for excellence. Mentor your team in consultative selling, client engagement, and professional growth. Own key relationships. Cultivate lasting partnerships with clients, venues, and industry partners, and step in personally on strategic accounts and complex situations. Lead with data. Use CRM tools and sales KPIs to improve team performance and grow key accounts. Protect profitability. Make sure every contract is priced competitively and on time while protecting margins. Be the face of the brand. Represent Curated Events at industry events across DC, Maryland, and Virginia to build new partnerships and stay ahead of market trends. Know the product inside and out. Work closely with Operations to master our product line and logistics.

What You Bring: 3–5 years of sales or sales management experience, ideally in hospitality, events, or managed servicesA proven track record of building and developing high-performing sales teams Deep expertise in consultative, relationship-driven, solution-oriented selling Strong business development skills and a talent for spotting and capturing growth opportunities Experience in both B2B and B2C sales Established connections in one or more of these event sectors: Corporate and business events Weddings and social events University and campus events Venues, catering, or event planning Skills &

Competencies: Exceptional verbal and written communication Strong leadership and team-building abilitiesA proactive, analytical mindset with sharp problem-solving skills Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales performance metrics Confidence creating and delivering prospect presentations and client business reviews Solid understanding of P&L and budget management Location Based in the DMV region, with regular travel to our Leesburg, VA; Tysons Corner, VA; and Frederick, MD locations
