A law firm seeks a highly qualified Associate for its Supreme Court and Appellate Practice in Houston, TX. This role offers the opportunity to engage in high-stakes appeals and key trial-court motions, contributing to legal strategy with a nationally recognized team.
Duties:
Collaborate with trial teams to frame and preserve issues for appeal.
Prepare petitions for certiorari and craft merits and amicus briefs.
Argue cases before appellate courts, including the US Supreme Court.
Handle complex litigation and dispositive motions in lower courts.
Requirements:
Completion of an appellate clerkship.
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
Experience in appellate litigation at a firm or in government service preferred.
Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admission to the state bar.
