Microbiology Manager - Regional Lab

Microbiology Manager - Regional LabResponsible for managing the daily operations of the Microbiology department at the Regional Laboratory, including all microbiology testing consolidated from across the Lee Health system. Coordinates activities of the technical and non-technical microbiology staff and allocates available resources including automated specimen processing and related instrumentation to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations. Works closely with the Regional Laboratory Administrative Director, Laboratory Medical Director, and Regional Laboratory leadership team in the development and implementation of microbiology policies and procedures. Coordinates performance improvement activities for the department. Promotes excellent customer service and ensures microbiology services are delivered in accordance with quality and financial standards. Ensures microbiology services are delivered in compliance with regulatory requirements (including CLIA and CAP) and Lee Health policies and procedures. Participates in Regional Laboratory and system leadership functions and collaborates with other leaders across the system as a representative of the department.
