Stepdown Clinical Nurse Supervisor

Mission Health seeks a Stepdown Overflow Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead bedside care and patient flow for a high-acuity stepdown overflow unit. The CNC oversees daily clinical operations, coordinates admissions and discharges, and supports nurses in delivering safe, evidence-based care. Responsibilities include staffing coordination, mentoring team members, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and monitoring quality, safety, and patient experience outcomes. Coordinate daily clinical operations for the stepdown overflow unit Oversee patient flow, including admissions, transfers, and discharges Provide direct high-acuity nursing care as needed Support, mentor, and guide nursing staff in clinical decision-making Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care plans Monitor quality, safety, and patient experience metrics Assist with staffing, assignments, and resource allocation Ensure adherence to evidence-based protocols and regulatory standards Facilitate patient and family education and communication Contribute to unit-based projects and process improvement initiatives Acute care nursing Stepdown/progressive care Patient assessment Care coordination Electronic medical records (EMR) Clinical leadership Staff scheduling and assignment Interdisciplinary collaboration Patient and family education Quality and safety monitoring Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in NC or compact state BLS certification ACLS certification Progressive care/stepdown certification preferred Charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
