Registered Nurse

Mercy is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. The RN will deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care, performing comprehensive assessments, administering medications and treatments, and coordinating multidisciplinary care plans. Responsibilities include monitoring patient status, documenting in the EHR, educating patients and families, and supporting safe discharges. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately Monitor, interpret, and document patient status and vital signs in the EHR Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and unit initiatives Precept or mentor new nurses and students as assigned Advocate for patient needs, cultural sensitivity, and shared decision-making Support Mercy’s mission through compassionate, culturally competent care Patient assessment Care planning IV therapy Medication administration Electronic Health Records (EHR) Wound care Vital signs monitoring Clinical documentation Care coordination Infection control Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in state of practice BLS certification ACLS certification (or obtained within hire window) PALS certification preferred (unit-dependent) Specialty certification in relevant area preferred (e.g., CCRN, PCCN, RNC)
