Mobile, AL | General Contractor | Mission Critical Construction We are working confidentially with a General Contractor delivering a major data center project in the Mobile, Alabama area and are looking to appoint an experienced Project Scheduler to join the project team. This is a full-time, site-based position. Recent data center construction experience is essential. This role requires someone who can take real ownership of the project schedule, work confidently with senior clients and project leadership, and drive accountability across the wider team.
The Role: The Project Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining and driving the project schedule across a complex ground-up data center build. This is not a purely administrative planning role. We are looking for someone who can communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions, identify schedule risks early and ensure the project team understands the impact of delays or changes.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and maintaining the master construction schedule
  • Managing detailed project schedules across civil, structural, MEP, commissioning and turnover
  • Working closely with Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents and trade partners
  • Leading schedule review meetings with internal teams and senior client stakeholders
  • Driving accountability against key milestones and deliverables
  • Identifying schedule risks, delays and critical path impacts
  • Communicating schedule changes and project impacts clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Reviewing subcontractor schedules and integrating them into the master programme
  • Supporting recovery planning and schedule mitigation strategies
  • Monitoring progress against baseline schedules
  • Producing schedule updates, reports, look-aheads and milestone tracking
  • Supporting change management and assessing schedule impacts
  • Coordinating with commissioning teams through startup, testing and turnover
  • Ensuring project leadership has accurate and current schedule information
What We’re Looking For:
  • Recent data center or mission critical construction experience is essential
  • Strong General Contractor or Construction Manager background
  • Experience scheduling large-scale ground-up construction projects
  • Strong Primavera P6 experience
  • Experience managing master schedules, critical path and schedule updates
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing across civil, structural, MEP and commissioning
  • Confident dealing with senior clients, Project Executives and leadership teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to challenge the project team and drive accountability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Experience with recovery schedules, delay analysis and schedule risk
  • Ability to work full-time on site in the Mobile, Alabama area
